The even feed foot, sometimes referred to as the walking foot, is designed with a set of feed dogs (teeth) which allow the fabric to feed without shifting and eliminates the problem of the under layer of fabric coming up short. The even feed foot is also great for topstitching which can be inconsistent due to irregularity of stitching. This is often caused by the bulk created with the seam allowance especially around collars and reveres. Using the walking foot for topstitching will eliminate this problem and give perfect stitching every time. Also includes quilting guide.

The Janome Even Feed Foot also called a walking foot is a moving feed system that holds and moves fabric between the presser foots upper feed dog and the machines lower feed dogs to better control difficult fabrics as well as multiple layers of fabric. The Janome Even Feed Foot can be used when quilting striaght lines, sewing when matching prints or plaids, and when fabric shifting is an issue.

It is sometimes hard to determine if an accessory is the correct one for your machine, but the personnel at AllBrands cleared up any confusion. I was then able to place my order with ease. Thanks so much.
