The Arrow 601 Gidget I table does not have ledge in the table opening.
The Sew Much More Craft & Hobby Table, also known as “Gidget” to her friends, offers free arm and flatbed sewing with an adjustable platform. Gidget I has an opening size of 17-1/2 wide” x 7-3/8″ deep (front to back).
The steel locking legs offer a sturdy base, but fold up neatly for easy storage.
The tough melamine surface is mar-resistant, allowing for years of use. It’s great for sewing, and makes a handy crafting table too!
The Gidget I comes in the Clean White finish.
Option: "The Gidget II is an upgrade from the Gidget on this page, with a better tabletop made of MDF instead of pressed wood so it is better suited for heavier and larger sewing machines. The platform is 12" by 24" so all machine fit, the opening edge is a smoother finish, and the optional custom insert sits inside the opening for a flush sewing surface. Also the Gidget II has wheels on the underside of the table allowing it to roll easily to take to class or under the bed for storage. All of this is why we feel that it is a better table for your customer and that is why you should offer it to a customer looking for a Gidget at this time. Arrow

COMPARE GIDGET I VS. GIDGET II:
Gidget I has a smaller opening size (17 ½” W vs 7 ⅜” D) compared to the large opening on Gidget II (23 ½” W x 12” D)
Gidget II Table features two wheels for easier portability when folded flat. Gidget I does not have wheels but can easily be transported with collapsible legs.
Gidget I is made of particle board with steel locking legs. Gidget II is made with denser MDF (medium density fiberboard) and steel locking legs.
Gidget II will require a custom made insert for her opening. Gidget I has a smaller opening, and may not need an insert if your machine is deep enough to fill most gaps.
