From experience it can run all day with out any issues. I have never had it overheat or even heat up. I've run 6 jackets of 28k stitches back to back with only time to swap hoops and rethread for the 9th and 10th color. An embroidery pattern of 100K stitches would be about 2.5 hours at a mix of stitch types and machine controlled speed. This is not a household machine and is designed to "work". TB

  DDL-9000C is the world's first sewing machine which comes with a digital drive mechanism and facilitates data transfer through NFC technology. This model allows for numerical entry of key settings through the operation panel meaning many manual adjustments are no longer needed. For the DDL -9000CS (digital type) adjustment of the feed dog height, feed pitch and feed locus have been digitalized and are programmable. For the DDL-9000CF (full-digital type), adjustment not only of those mentioned above but also the presser foot pressure and needle thread tension have been digitalized. With this digitalization, optimum adjustment values required to produce high-quality seams can be stored on a material-by-material basis in the machine internal memory, or externally, and can be reproduced with ease. For sewing plants which produce diversified products using different materials this feature is quite helpful to achieve stable seam quality without time wasted on manual adjustments.
  
  In today’s market many sewing plants have to handle dozens of kinds of materials. To get the best seams on any given product, maintenance experts and skilled operators must finely adjust sewing machines using tools such as a screwdriver or manual leavers and dials. Adjustment of all lockstitch machines in the plant requires an enormous amount of time and it is impossible to have the adjustment values perfectly reproduced across all machines.

  Thanks to the world's first vertically-driven digital feed mechanism, the feed dog height can be adjusted with ease in accordance to the material being sewn. Thanks to this digital feed mechanism thread trimming is carried out with the feed dog lowered which results in a stable remaining thread length. Also because the feed dog does not protrude above the throat plate when the sewing machine stops it avoids the material from being damaged by the feed dog.
  
  Thread remaining on the material at the end of sewing as short as 3 mm
  As well as the lowered feed dog, the groove cam system and the picker device are adopted to allow forcible release of the thread trimmer even if it locks, thereby securing the appropriate needle thread length and achieving stable length of thread remaining on the material.
  
  Management, browsing and editing of data can be carried out via Android application
  Data on sewing machine adjustments can be transferred to an Android tablet or phone via the Juki Smart App via NFC or micro USB. This allows all settings to be calibrate once and then replicated across all machines on one sewing line. The operation panel is also provided with a USB port for data storage, transfer and management; software updates can be carried out with ease using a USB thumb drive.
  
  Custom functions can be programed to the hand switch
  The functions programed to the hand switches can be set through the operation panel. Since the reverse-feed stitching lever is provided as standard additional functions that will be needed the most can be set. 20 different functions (needle-up/down correction sewing, reverse-feed correction sewing, 1-time reverse-feed stitching cancellation function, etc.) can all be allocated to the hand switch. Highly convenient operation is ensured when functions that are used the most are easily accessible.

  Remaining thread at the end of sewing reduced to 3mm
  A both-blade driven rotary knife system is adopted. the knife intersects with the thread to trim it just beneath the needle entry point. Since the knife ensures constant length of needle thread, the length of thread remaining on the material after thread trimming is, unlike thread trimming with the thread tensed, also constant. The Juki DDL-9000CFMS inherits JUKI’s thread trimming technology to allow the thread trimmer to start up as soon as the pedal is depressed.
  
  Sewing Machine management utilizing “IoT” (Internet of Things)
  Data adjusted in a sample-making workshop etc. can be transferred without contact to the sewing machines in your factory using your tablet. (USB port is provided as standard)

  The change is driven by digitalization. Until recently, sewing machines have been adjusted by human operators based on personal hunches and experience.
  Now, with JUKI's digital sewing system DDL-9000C, sewing machine adjustments are fully digitalized. The settings can be reproduced with total accuracy to perfectly
  suit the materials being sewn.
  
  Needle thread tension which matches sewing conditions given can be set on the operation panel and stored in memory. The needle thread tension adjustment needs experience. However, for this sewing machine, thread tension data stored in memory is reproducible, thereby reducing the setup time when the product to be sewn is changed. Exampl e : Needle-thread active tension demonstrates its effectiveness in the top stitching process. For welting shoulders of a difficult-to-sew material, uniform stitches can be produced continuously by appropriately changing the sewing conditions even if the right and left material fabric differ in texture grain.

The machine has been digitalized to allow for easy adjustment of settings such as the feed mechanism, thread tension and the feed locus, all through the operation panel. Perfect parameters needed to achieve a high quality seams can be achieved digitally and key conditions do not need to be manually adjusted. Thanks to the digitalization, optimum adjustment values required to produce high-quality seams can be stored on a material-by-material basis in the machines internal memory and can be reproduced with ease. Features:

• Free Arm: Removing the auxiliary bed enables free-arm sewing. This is convenient for sewing cylindrical pieces, attaching sleeves, hemming pants, and more.
  
• Cutting Width: Adjusting the position of the knife allows you to beautifully finish both overlock and rolled hemstitching.
  
• Differential Feed: Adjusting the differential feed allows you to sew beautiful finishes including stretchy fabrics such as knits and georgette. Adjustments can be made even while sewing.
  
• Foot Pressure: The presser foot pressure can be adjusted according to the fabric. Adjusting the pressure to lightweight, medium weight, and heavyweight fabrics allow you to sew beautifully.
  
• Adjustable Stitch Length: An accessible knob can be used to adjust the stitch length from 1 to 5mm even when sewing.
  
• Lower Looper Threader: Threading the lower looper can easily be done by operating a lever.
  
• Lay-in Type Thread Tension Slots: Raise the presser foot and pass the thread straight through the slot threads tension disc. Even thick threads are easy to thread!
  
• Retractable Upper Knife: Since the upper knife can be raised by turning a knob, threading can be safely performed. Avoid cutting fabric by turning the knob that raises the upper knife.
  
• 2-Thread Converter: The included 2-thread converter attachment easily converts the machine to 2-thread sewing.
  
• Bright LED Lighting: The workspace is brightly illuminated. The long-life, energy-efficient lights will not heat up, even after a long period of use.

Sara, we recommend the latest model Juki MO 114D 4 thread serger below because of the easier lay in thread tension system that do not fail to register thread tensions, whether threading or operating the machine. The much older model MO634D model can require that you pull each threads through the needles and loopers to make sure the thread is all the way down between the tension discs before sewing. The main problem is the upper left round tension knob that does not have enough angle in the threading path to naturally pull the thread in between the tension disc by itself. Raise the presser foot. On the Juki MO 114D the tension is automatically released, so the threads fall down between the tension discs without having to be pulled through. The MO634 and all other Juki home sergers with round tension knobs do not have a tension release mechanism when the presser foot is raised. Hope this information helps. Thanks. John

Customers will experience "Kokochi" when using new, state-of-the-art features found on the large LCD screen like touch and swipe capabilities, on-screen editing, one-touch button to lower feed dogs, and exclusive JUKI Sewing Net.

Touchscreen editing

The touchscreen on the DX-4000QVP allows you to easily edit the stitch design, needle position, and thread tension, lift or lower the presser foot, and turn thread trimming on or off.

This machine features new built-in stitches not included on previous models. Simply touch a stitch on the touchscreen to bring up that category of stitches. Then swipe to the left or right to browse other stitch categories. You can scroll through the different stitches simply by swiping up or down on the touchscreen.

Select your stitch and you now have on-screen editing capabilities! The knobs below the screen allow you to adjust the presser foot pressure, 10mm stitch length for basting, and 7mm stitch width on many patterns. The sample stitch on the screen will change in real time with you adjustments.

By tapping the thread tension icon on the screen will take you to the new integrated wheel on the touchscreen that will allow you to change the thread tension. Simply swipe left or right on the screen to turn the wheel and adjust your thread tension. Tap anywhere on the screen to go back to the editing menu.

Orange: In bobbin winding condition

Quick Bobbin Preparation- The bobbin preparation is easy. Just follow the guide and it is not necessary to pull up the bobbin thread.

Lock Stitch/Pattern Completion Lock Stitch- You can locking stitch (3 stitches) just by pressing the button at the beginning or end of sewing. If you press the button while sewing a pattern, the machine stops after sewing one cycle of the patter.

The Juki TL18QVP is a high-performance sewing and quilting machine. The TL18QVP is a single needle, lock-stitch, portable machine, constructed of aluminum die-casting to ensure industrial-quality sewing.

Three Types of Quilting Foot / Drop Feed

• Three types of quilting feet are supplied as standard accessories with the machine. A 1/5" Quilting Foot is supplied along with a a 1/4" quilting foot and a quilting foot with a front open toe. The feed dog can be raised and lowered simply by depressing a switch. When quilting, the drop feed allows you to sew curved stitches with ease.
  
  Quilting Foot Front Open Toe
  
• This presser foot for free-motion sewing is open at the front so that the needle area is easy to see. Since the presser foot moves up and down together with the movement of the needle, thick seams can easily be crossed.
  
  1/5" Quilting Foot
  
• This presser foot is used for free-motion quilting. With the feed dog lowered, you can freely move the fabric to draw using stitching. The distance from the needle entry point to the outer edge of the presser foot is 1/5” (5mm). Since the presser foot moves up and down together with the movement of the needle, thick seams can easily be crossed.
  
  1/4" Quilting Foot
  
• With a distance of 1/4” (6.5mm) from the needle entry point to the outer edge, this presser foot is perfect for echo quilting, stitching sewn equally spaced using the edge of the presser foot as a guide.
  
  Even Feed Foot
  
• With its reliable feed, the even feed foot ensures the machine's ability to produce beautiful seams when sewing difficult-to-feed fabrics such as georgette and velvet, as well as heavy weight materials such as leather.
  
  Automatic Thread Trimmer
  
• The machine is equipped with an automatic thread trimming device that simultaneously cuts the needle and bobbin threads at the sewing end by lightly pressing the push-button. It uses the thread trimming mechanism that is similar to the industrial sewing machine type.
  
  Easy Bobbin Replacement
  
• Bobbin replacement is a breeze even with the auxiliary table installed, thanks to a large bobbin case opening and a removable plate in the auxiliary table.
  
  Bobbin Winding (Auto-Stop)
  
• Prepare the bobbin for winding simply by installing it on the bobbin winder. The bobbin stops spinning automatically when it is full.
  
  Automatic Needle Threader
  
• The push lever automatic needle threader easily threads the needle without eyestrain and allows you to start sewing quickly.
  
  Knee Lifter Lever
  
• The knee lifter lever allows you to lift / lower the presser foot without using your hands.
  
  Adjustment of Presser Foot Pressure
  
• Presser foot pressure can be adjusted according to the fabric being sewn by turning a regulator located on the top of the machine.
  
  Extended Sewing Area
  
• The throat size from the needle to inside the machine is 8.5 inches.
  
  LED Sewing Light Brightness Adjustment Switch
  
• A switch in the needle area allows you to adjust the brightness of the light between high, medium, low, and of. Adjust the brightness to make hard to see seams and stitching areas easier to see.
  
  Attachment Mounting Plate
  
• A separate attachment mounting plate for installing fabric guides and other attachments. This extends the life of the sewing machine, as it can now be replaced when the mounting holes become damaged.
  
  Float Function (micro-lifter)
  
• Now equipped with the same mechanism as Juki industrial sewing machines for preventing uneven sewing on quilts as velvet, as well as stretched stitches on knit fabrics. The presser foot floats 0-2 mm above the material, making it useful for stitching over thick seams.
