Embroidery hoops are indispensable tools for working embroidery. They come in a wide range of sizes, styles and materials, and every company has their own favorite brand. Using a hoop also makes it easier to count the threads when worked a counted thread projects.
Before starting the project, the embroidery fabric is placed in the hoop, pulling it taunt and tightening the outer hoop to hold the fabric into position. This taunt fabric base makes it easier to create well-formed stitches that are evenly spaced and uniform in size, as compared to holding the fabric in the hands without a hoop, which can cause the stitch tension to be too tight or too loose. Your choice of size and shape depends entirely on the project and your preference, however, when selecting a hoop, remember that the fabric must completely fill the hoop in order to keep it tight.
When browsing and buying hoops, you will notice that some hoops tighten and loosen with a thumb screw, while others are tension or spring operated or have sections that snap together without tightening.
Hoops that are tension or spring operated are made from a combination of metal and plastic and have a lip. There are also different material that the hoops can be made out of. Wooden hoops, which can be made from pine, hardwood or bamboo do not have a lip. Metal hoops are durable and will last longer than any other type of hoop.
When using an embroidery hoop the hoop is attached to the stands with either a clamp, or secured in place through the sides of the hoop using wing nuts or thumb screws and now even magnets. No Thumbscrews.

SturdiFrames
SturdiFrames are constructed of 3/16" anodized aluminum with stainless steel brackets to attach the frames to the machine arms. Simply apply sticky backing to the underside of the SturdiFrame and slide the frame brackets into the appropriate arms of your 10 needle machine. Then, just “float” the item to be embroidered onto the frame, press down to adhere the fabric to the backing and stitch!
Durkee Cap Frame
Durkee’s cap frame attaches to a multi-needle machine just like a normal hoop. The bill of the cap is clamped securely in place while the embroiderer presses down the front portion of the cap held in place with sticky backing/stabilizer.
This is a fantastic frame for cap embroidery without the need to change over to a cap driver. The Durkee cap frame fits into your standard arms just like a normal frame. It is so easy to use. Now everyone can do cap embroidery in house.

These frames are constructed of 3/16" anodized aluminum with stainless steel brackets to attach the frames to the machine arms.
The Size is 7-7/8" x 8" (sewing field) and is to be attached to the “A” arms
Simply apply sticky backing to the underside of the SturdiFrame and slide the frame brackets into the
appropriate arms of your 10 needle machine. Then, just “float” the item to be embroidered onto the
frame, press down to adhere the fabric to the backing and stitch!

When registration is critical and the fabric must be held tight, many would argue there is no better system. We are proud to announce two the SturdiFrame for Brother and Baby Lock Ten (10) needle machines!!
These frames are constructed of 3/16" anodized aluminum with stainless steel brackets to attach the frames to the machine arms.
The frame measure 14" x 14" (sewing field) and is to be attached to the “B” arms of the 10 needle machine. The frame will be recognized as the 14" x 14" Jumbo hoop. This frame is excellent for split design projects requiring a larger sewing field.
Simply apply sticky backing to the underside of the SturdiFrame and slide the frame brackets into the
appropriate arms of your 10 needle machine. Then, just “float” the item to be embroidered onto the
frame, press down to adhere the fabric to the backing and stitch!

This hoop fits the Brother PR600, PR-600C, PR600II, PR620, PR650, PR1000, and the PR1000e and the Baby Lock EMP6, BMP8, BMP9 and ENT10 embroidery machines. The hoop carries a LIFETIME WARRANTY on the plastic components and feature Durkee’s exclusive EZ TURN Thumbscrew.

*To embroider a design of 5 x 7" you must allow for the design itself, as well as, the sewing head. The next size up for that from Durkee would be our 9” x 9” hoop. As long as that size hoop will fit into the project you are embroidering, that would be your best bet from Durkee. It also happens to be the most popular hoop size we sell to the home embroidery market.

Introducing Durkee “EZ Frames” for multi-needle Embroidery machines. EZ Frames are a simple, yet effective, system for hooping otherwise difficult to hoop items. Simply apply sticky backing to the underside of the frame with the sticky side up. The adhesive on the backing holds your project in place while the machine is stitching.
Stability - due to their thickness and strength, you can stitch comfortably with EZ Frames at 1,000 stitches per minute!
Strength - EZ Frames are constructed with 3/16" anodized aluminum to provide years of consistent, uninterrupted performance. This compares to Fast Frames 1/16" metal frames which have a lot more vibration up and down movements.* EZ Frames also has larger Thumb Screws for ease of tightening and loosening.

Introducing Durkee “EZ Frames” for multi-needle Embroidery machines. EZ Frames are a simple, yet effective, system for hooping otherwise difficult to hoop items. Simply apply sticky backing to the underside of the frame with the sticky side up. The adhesive on the backing holds your project in place while the machine is stitching.
Stability - due to their thickness and strength, you can stitch comfortably with EZ Frames at 1,000 stitches per minute!
Strength - EZ Frames are constructed with 3/16" anodized aluminum to provide years of consistent, uninterrupted performance. This compares to Fast Frames 1/16" metal frames which have a lot more vibration up and down movements.* EZ Frames also has larger Thumb Screws for ease of tightening and loosening.

Hello Everyone! Just downloaded and played with the new Brother and Baby Lock Design Database Transfer program. This is a FREE program that allows you to transfer your designs wirelessly from your machine if it has the wireless feature! So cool! You can also search for designs, print catalogs of designs and manage your designs with this free program. You need to download the Baby Lock version for the Baby Lock machines or the Brother version for the Brother machines. Use almost any size hoop from any manufacturer including traditional tubular hoops, wooden hoops, or magnetic hoops. There are NO ADDITIONAL purchases to be made for parts, pieces, or fixtures to accommodate different size hoops.
Two Stations
Two Hooping Pro stations available – A “Full Station” for polo shirts, t-shirts, jackets, etc. and an optional narrower “Project Station” for specialty projects such as shirt sleeves, pant legs, hat backs, bags, etc.
Cross-Hair Laser Light
The “Full Station” comes with a fully adjustable cross-hair laser light with articulating arm to assist in centering and aligning.
Slot Design
Slot Design allows for Infinite width adjustment and lets the embroiderer hoop their project precisely where THEY want.
Brass Stops
Each station comes with adjustable Brass Stops with rubber “bumpers” to securely hold consistent tension on outer rings during hooping.
Recessing Made Easy
Each Brass Stop has a “platform” to elevate the outer ring slightly above the station table. Thus, when the frame or inner ring is inserted and fully depressed into the outer ring on the station, the outer ring will be correctly recessed when removed from the table.
Ready-To-Go Out of the Box
Each Full Station comes with 8 Brass Bumper stops. Each Project Station comes with 6 Brass Bumper stops.
Designed for Ease of Use
Both stations have three table angles to provide the most ergonomically comfortable hooping position for the embroiderer.
Built Right –Built to Last
Solid steel legs with rubber feet prevent station movement during hooping. Additional holes in the base legs are provided so the station can be permanently attached to the embroiderer’s existing work surface if desired.
