This machine is a HAND BUTTON SEWER with special telescoping adjustable stand. The Chandler Button Sewer is a single thread, hand operated machine. It is purposely designed for use in such industries as laundries, coat and apron supplies, institutions, hospitals, hotels, dry cleaners etc. The sewing cycle consists of 12 stitches, which includes the cross over (on a 4 hole button) and the tying or locking stitch, at the very end of the cycle. It will handle either 2 hole or 4 hole buttons in any size from the smallest shirt button to that used on underwear, pajamas, coats, aprons, etc.
The Sewing Cycle is fully automatic, the flywheel being blocked at the completion of the sewing cycle. Raising the button clamp to release the material automatically breaks the thread on the underside of the button. Thread stand in rear of machine head provides for cones us to 12,000 yard size. This machine is completely portable, no plug in or electrical connections necessary, no motor to worry about, no belts to break, and designed to last for years.

The proven computer-controlled bartacking machine has been dramatically evolved to be an easier-to-use machine.
Since the machine is provided with an active tension mechanism, it is able to set a needle thread tension that matches various sewing conditions (such as thread, material and sewing speed) on the operation panel, store the data in memory and reproduce it.
The needle thread tension can be separated according to stitching type or portion of a seam, such as the beginning part of the seam, base stitched part, zigzag stitched part and end of the seam (fastening stitch).
When the operation panel (IP-200B) is used in combination with the active tension, the needle thread tension can be set on a stitch-by-stitch basis. This helps eliminate undesired thread tension variations at a multi-layered part of a material or with sewing direction, thereby contributing to upgraded seam quality.

The proven computer-controlled bartacking machine has been dramatically evolved to be an easier-to-use machine.
Since the machine is provided with an active tension mechanism, it is able to set a needle thread tension that matches various sewing conditions (such as thread, material and sewing speed) on the operation panel, store the data in memory and reproduce it.
The needle thread tension can be separated according to stitching type or portion of a seam, such as the beginning part of the seam, base stitched part, zigzag stitched part and end of the seam (fastening stitch).
When the operation panel (IP-200B) is used in combination with the active tension, the needle thread tension can be set on a stitch-by-stitch basis. This helps eliminate undesired thread tension variations at a multi-layered part of a material or with sewing direction, thereby contributing to upgraded seam quality.

- Setting of functions such as the pattern number and the needle thread tension can be entered through the operation panel with ease. It is also possible to easily change the distance between buttonholes by means of the enlargement / reduction function.
- The operation panel is provided as standard with a USB port. This means that the sewing machine data management and software updating can be carried out with ease by means of the USB port.
This sewing machine achieves higher productivity with its improved capabilities such as the maximum sewing speed of 4,200 sti/min, quick acceleration at the beginning of sewing and quick deceleration at the end of sewing, increased thread trimming speed and the auto-lifter performance.
Main functions driven electrically
The electric-driven mechanism has been adopted for the work clamp foot lifter, needle / bobbin thread trimmers, work clamp foot pressure regulator, cloth trimming knife and thread tension controllers, thereby ensuring stable sewing that produces beautiful seams with less operating noise.
Active tension (electronic thread tension control mechanism)
- The needle thread tension can be separately set for the parallel section and bartacking section of the buttonhole seam according to various sewing conditions (thread, material, sewing speed, etc.) given, and those setting data can be stored in memory.
- The needle thread tension can be changed over at the parallel and bartacking section of the buttonhole seam without fail, thereby producing beautifully-finished buttonhole stitch shape.
- The needle thread tension to be employed at the beginning and end of sewing can be set individually.
- This helps prevent slip-off of the thread at the beginning of sewing and unravel of the finished seam.
Multiple-times knife dropping
Thanks to JUKI's unique multiple-times knife dropping function, the knife replacement is no longer required even when the buttonholing size is changed. In the case of small-lot production, frequent change in the sewing size and / or sewing of different cycle sewing patterns with different sewing sizes are required. In such a case, the number of times to drop the cloth trimming knife are automatically set according to the buttonholing size.

Basting stitch : Since the needle thread is tucked in without fail, it will never jut out of the buttonhole seams. Basting stitch can be sewn by nine rounds.
Easy changeover of sewing settings
Changeover between purl stitching and whip stitching and between single stitching and double stitching can be carried out with ease.

Vertically driven cloth cutting knife controlled by a stepping motor.
- The knife is controlled by a stepping motor. This enables easy adjustment of the knife pressure on the operation panel to suit the material to be used, thereby preventing irregular cutting.
- Data on knife pressure can be registered on pattern-by-pattern basis to establish the best-suited knife pressure according to sewing specifications. Adequate knife pressure improves durability of cloth-cutting knife and knife guard.
- Selection between the cut-before knife and cut-after knife can be made on the operation panel.
- The stepping-motor-controlled cloth-cutting knife is free from the troubles likely to affect air-driven knives, including dull cutting and the breakage of parts such as the knife-driving arm. In addition, a large-capacity compressor is no longer required since the machine uses less compressed air.
Separately driven right and left work clamps.
- The right and left work clamps are separately driven by independent air cylinders. With this mechanism, the work clamps reliably clamp materials of different thicknesses to prevent the materials from flopping.
