Our Aussie boasts an amazing 31.5 square feet of sewing space, when fully opened with quilt leaf and rolling caddy extended the Aussie is 99 1/2” wide by 80 1/2” deep. Don’t let these measurements scare you, when the quilt leaf is folded down and the rolling caddy is tucked under the Aussie measures 99 ½” wide x 22” deep.
With so much surface area the Aussie is ideal for quilting or large sewing projects. The large surface space also means you have plenty of room for multiple sewing machines or sergers. The rolling caddy can be placed in 2 separate locations on the cabinet and it tucks neatly away when not in use. The lift mechanism moves your sewing machine up and down in 3 separate positions and is adjustable for all heights of machines. Our Aussie boasts an amazing 31.5 square feet of sewing space, when fully opened with quilt leaf and rolling caddy extended the Aussie is 99 1/2” wide by 80 1/2” deep. Don’t let these measurements scare you, when the quilt leaf is folded down and the rolling caddy is tucked under the Aussie measures 99 ½” wide x 22” deep.
With so much surface area the Aussie is ideal for quilting or large sewing projects. The large surface space also means you have plenty of room for multiple sewing machines or sergers. The rolling caddy can be placed in 2 separate locations on the cabinet and it tucks neatly away when not in use. Kangaroo Cutting Mat
The colorful one-inch quilter's grid helps accurate rotary cutting. Measurements are marked on all four sides, plus angle lines for 45, 30, and 60 degrees with 2-1/2" and 3-1/2" strips are also marked. Bonus 1/4, 1/3, 1/2 and 1-yard increments are marked
The custom insert is a piece of plastic or Plexiglas that is cut to fit your specific brand and model of sewing machine. The Insert is used when the sewing machine is in the Flat-Bed Mode, this is when the needle plate of the sewing machine is level with the top of the cabinet. The Insert fills the gap between the sewing machine and the opening of the cabinet to create a flat working surface.

What makes this the QuiltMate cabinet is that their is a leaf attached in the back of the cabinet that can be raised to expand the cabinet surface when quilting on large projects. The leaf when raised takes a lot of the weight of the quilt or large sewing project as well as the bulk and gives you a place to keep it off the floor or from just hanging over the back of the cabinet. This sewing machine cabinet includes two Rudersburg lift mechanisms, one mounted on the left side of the machine opening and the other on the right side to support the machine platform evenly at both ends and the extra weight of these heavy machines.
This cabinet was designed by sewers and folks that embroider and has many conveniences built into the design. There is a space to store your embroidery unit when not in use. There are embroidery hoop hangers on the inside of the cabinet door to store all the hoops that came with your machine.
The lift has 3 positions – all the way down, so you can close up the cabinet completely – the middle position for sewing and quilting where the arm of your sewing machine is flush with the top of the cabinet. Very ergonomic and comfortable and meant to be used with a sewing machine insert that fits around the arm of your machine – and lastly, the all the way up position for taking advantage of your sewing machine free arm and using your embroidery unit.
The cabinet comes completely assembled. All you do is attach the commercial grade locking casters. The cabinet even comes with a lifetime warranty.

*Please note: The Janome Horizon Memory Craft 15,000 fits the platform of the cabinet in flat bed position (a custom insert is available) but you will have to move the sewing machine from right to left to lower into the storage position because of the extension of the front support leg of the machine. Also, the knee lifter lever cannot be used with a sewing cabinet due to the length of the lever and how the machine sits on the platform in flat bed position.

*Please Note: Inserts are made for your machine and the width of the opening of the cabinet or table. Depending on the size of your sewing machine compared to the opening of the cabinet or table, the insert may not extend all the way around machine as shown. Machines must be smaller than the cabinet opening by a minimum 3" in depth at widest part(front to back) and 2" in length (left to right) for insert to wrap completely around machine as shown in picture.If the machine is wider or longer than these minimums we may still be able to make a Filler piece to help fill gaps and still create a smooth sewing surface. Our standard Insert design allows for approximately 1-1/2” – 2” on the right for clearance for the cords and handwheel, when space permits.

The standard is to have enough space on the right side of the cabinet opening to allow space for machine cords, to use on/off switch, and accommodate for the hand wheel to be pushed down into the cabinet. The insert is designed to be perfectly level with the free arm of the machine. If you have a top loading bobbin this may affect your use. Please contact us in advance for other options. If the machine fills the majority of the opening of your cabinet then we may have options outside of a standard full insert to help fill in those smaller gaps. If you plan to use a knee lift feature while your machine is in the cabinet, contact us for placement. All Sew Steady Cabinet Inserts are made from ¼” thick clear acrylic.The make and model of cabinet are also needed to help ensure the proper insert is selected.

Inserts have a lip to catch on the cabinet top (as photo above illustrates) - this is when the cabinet opening has no method to support the insert.
Insets (no lip) sit flush inside the cabinet opening & rest on a ledge built within the cabinet.
