AllBrands is an Authorized Dealer and Factory Service Center for any repairs needed including warranty parts, electrical and labor. We give unlimited technical support by email, fax and phone. We service machines in our stores. Mass merchants do not have tech service or repair departments for your equipment. They are unable to help you directly, only referring any operational, mechanical or electronic questions back to the manufacturer instead of taking care of the problems themselves. Manufacturers and customers should expect that any problems you have will be taken care of by the dealer or merchant who sold you the equipment, not by just referring your questions back to the manufacturer.

Janome 2018S would be a much better buy for our Black Friday Cyber Monday promotions. It is a Full Size 15 pounds metal frame machine made in Taiwan, not China! Has Drop Feed Controls for free motion quilting. Our customer says: "I love these machines. They run smoothly and are great for beginning sewers of whom I teach. They are easy to use, thread, and I have had no problem with the tension which is a BIG plus. They also have my favorite type of bobbin case! I am so pleased with these machines. They will be a fantastic addition to my school. Thank you for your help, and for your timely emails." sewingschool@cox.net

Hi, I got it today in great shape! It is prettier than what it looked in your picture. I at first couldn't find the buttonhole foot but later found it loose in the extension table. I hadn't realized that it didn't have a stitch length button but it is ok because it has the length that I need for quilting. I bought the machine to take back and forth from quilting group. I like that it only weighs 15 lbs., the handle for carrying, that it is pretty to look at, easy to thread, thread cutter, snap on pressure feet; and especially the price. The only problem that I have had is that the clutch doesn't work....the needle runs whether pushed in or pulled out. I read the book and followed the instructions but the needle turns no matter what. Is there away for me to reset the clutch? I don't want to return it cause of high shipping. I am leaving you with positive feedback anyway. If I could fix the clutch, it would be perfect. Thanks for your valuable time. Della
Della, the clutch needs to be run in to loosen it up when in bobbin winding mode. Remove the needle, hold onto the needle bar upper shaft with your whole left hand, put in bobbin winding mode and run the machine until the needle bar does not want to go up and down by itself in bobbin winding mode. If that doesn't work we have to get oil on the main horizontal shaft where the hand wheel sits. That is difficult without removing covers. The only access for oiling the main shaft while covers are on is through the hole in to top cover where the bobbin winder spindle is. Please advise if you are able to loosen it up without oiling. Seems like a nice sewing machine. It is a gift for my Daughter. She likes it. I think it will serve our purposes.

I must say and this is not bashing..... I had a Singer just a basic machine say price range. It just didn't have the features or accesories this machine came with. Sews very effortlessly. No Jamming of bobbins which as you know is one main concern. lightweight but it's got the power !
