I teach a beginning sewing class at a local fabric store. The day my little Jem came in, some ladies were on their way to Carlsbad and stopped for a "fabric fix." It turned out they were on their way to be trained on their little Jem Platinums. They had their noses up in the air a bit until they asked me how much I paid for mine...I never did find out how much she paid for hers!
