How it Works

The Blueair 650E Air Purifier takes in polluted air through the sides of the unit. A fan draws polluted air into the unit. Air passes through an ion chamber where airborne particles are electrically charged with negative ions. Charged particles are drawn to the HEPASilent filter surface. The polluted air becomes Purified air, which is virtually contaminant-free and is re-circulated into the room from the top and top sides of the unit. No ozone is emitted, in fact Blueair units reduce indoor ozone levels.

The Blueair 650E with Particle filters is the ideal choice for allergy sufferers and other health-conscious individuals that need high-efficiency particle removal. The unit contains three filters with a unique gradient and progressive structure made of polypropylene, a plastic material that is naturally anti-bacterial, fiber shredding resistant and when combusted the filters convert to harmless water and carbon dioxide. These filters effectively remove every type of particulate air pollutants, including allergens, pollen, mold spores, dust, pet dander, bacteria, and viruses.

The Blueair 650E SmokeStop™ Unit is the ideal choice for allergy sufferers and other health-conscious individuals that need high-efficiency particle removal plus gas and odor control. The unit contains 3 Smokestop™ progressive carbon filters each with a honeycomb-type structure that improves airflow and has hundreds of odor and gas absorbing carbon pellets. Each filter contains 2.0 lbs of coconut shell activated carbon impregnated with a 70/30 blend of Potassium Hydroxide (KOH) and Potassium Iodide (KI). The carbon eliminates volatile organic compounds (VOC), which are responsible for odors.

The SmokeStop™ filter is recommended for use in rooms where heavy gaseous pollutants such as cigarette and cigar smoke or other VOC's are present.
