Product Description

Sew Steady Cabinet Inserts are designed to fit your specific make and model of sewing machine and cabinet. The Insert fills the gap between the sewing machine and the opening of the cabinet to create a flat working surface*. Made with one of the highest grades of acrylic.

Please be careful when determining the make & model of your cabinet. It is vital to ensure the proper size insert is selected since this product is made-to-order and non-returnable. If you are unsure of the make or model, have a custom cabinet or one that is not listed, or desire a bespoke design, we will work with you to determine the right product. Please see the Frequently Asked Questions(FAQ) section below for more information.

*Please Note: Inserts are custom made to your machine and the width of the opening of the cabinet or table. Depending on the size of your sewing machine compared to the opening of the cabinet or table, the insert may not extend all the way around machine as shown. Machines must be smaller than the cabinet opening by a minimum 3 ½” in depth at widest part(front to back) and 2” in length (left to right) for insert to wrap completely around machine as shown in picture.

If the machine is wider or longer than these minimums we may still be able to make a ‘Filler’ piece to help fill gaps and still create a smooth sewing surface.


Inserts have a lip to catch on the cabinet top.

F.A.Q.

I don’t know what size opening my cabinet has, what do I do?
We understand that you may not know this information off-hand or at the time of purchase. In the Cabinet opening dimensions drop-down, select “Unknown” and the manufacturer will contact you in order to work through selecting the right product.

I don’t know what Brand or Model cabinet I own, what do I do?
If you don’t know the brand, choose “Unknown/Custom” from the Cabinet Brand drop-down. If you don’t know the model, write “Unknown” in the Cabinet Model box. The manufacturer will contact you in order to work through selecting the right product.

My cabinet is custom built / not listed in the options
You have two options here.

1st option: Choose an existing design and modify your cabinet to fit the insert.
This is the cheapest solution because it requires no additional tooling adjustments from the manufacturer, but will possibly require more work on your end to ensure proper fit with your furniture. If you choose this method, pick an existing dimension from the Cabinet Opening Dimensions drop-down box, select “Unknown/Custom” in the Cabinet Brand option drop-down and write “Will adjust to fit” in the Cabinet Model box.

2nd option: Have a custom insert designed to fit your exact machine and cabinet.
This is the easiest solution and is ideal if you can’t or won’t make alterations to your furniture. However, because this requires tooling adjustments by the manufacturer, there is an additional fee on top of the price of the table itself. For example: if you wanted an insert that measures 12-7/8” x 24”, a size not currently offered, you would pay for the price of a medium size insert and then an additional customization fee. Please see the option list for the current custom design fee. If you choose this method, pick “Custom” from the Cabinet opening dimensions drop-down box, select “Unknown/Custom” in the Cabinet Brand option drop-down. The manufacturer will contact you to finalize the details of your order. Please note that the price of the table is variable depending on what exact measurements you require. There is a possibility your dimensions could bump you into a higher or lower price tier than you expect. Adjustments to price, if applicable, will be worked out with you before construction begins.
