is their a way i can get the pes file to convert to the Scan N Cut format? Brenda
I am assuming that the customer is requesting this to work with applique designs. If that is in fact the case, the easiest way is to simply stitch the “placement stich” of the PES file on stabilizer, scan in the piece of stabilizer with the stitching on it—then use that file to cut the fabrics of their choice. Brother Education Department.

Our customer called and reported the problem with the Brother Scan N Cut, "Customer says that when she is trying to cut with a four its leaving fabric still attached when she is wanting clean cut. When she tries to use a six which gives her a clean cut, it also is cutting the mat. Customer would like to know if it is her machine or her that has the problem.
What type of fabric, what stabilizer, mat, pressure, speed and blade is she using? I am attaching a sheet for her to look at for starting points for settings. This is something I use in my classes. Every machine will differ and will change the longer the blade is used. It does dull like a rotary cutter. I am not sure why she went from a 4 all the way to a 6. If she is cutting fabric without stabilizer, I would suggest to her that she purchase Sullivan’s Spray Stabilizer. It temporarily stiffens the fabric (like starch), but is better than starch with the machine. There are tons of variables that play into this. She may simply need to change out the blade.
Hopefully, this info helps. By the way, the settings are using the blue blade cartridge. Cindy Hogan

Brother Scan N Cut Current FAQ Frequently Asked Questions and Answers
Debra S, Facebook
I originally purchased a brothers scan and cut, opened the box check to see if all items were there. Put everything back in the box. Recently I decided I wanted to do some 12X12 scanning. I pulled the machine and mats back out of the box and set it up. When I place the item I wanted to scan, there was ZERO tack to the mat, I tried the 2nd mat same thing, the 3rd mat was not only tackles but had a huge slit down one side. After calling customer service, I discovered that the product was a demo model ( NOT plainly marked other wise I would not have purchased the item.) So I explained my problem to the pleasant lady on the other end of the phone. She was pleasant but said sorry nothing I can do its past the 30 day return warranty. No, offense to the lady but I was seeing red and her jovial demeanor just made me want to come though the phone and slap her ( not that I really would) She was trying to be pleasant and friendly but came across as cavalier and totally uncaring . And when she offered to sell me 3 new ones at almost $18.00 each, that sent me over the top. I WAS PISSED. So, thanks to public media and a bad review on facebook I got immediate attention from AllBrands. They were very apologetic and explained you had a new customer service manager, and that the procedure was to forward my complaint on to Returns and refunds which had not been done. After explaining the problem to your Returns manager, she explained it was an oversight and that the mats would be replaced at no cost to me. I received 2 mats the 3rd backordered and within a few days received the 3rd mat. After a bumpy start things sorted out, I updated my facebook review to reflect I was satisfied with the outcome and AllBrands had restored their reputation in my eyes.
