  • Professional pressing results, conveniently in your home. Use the Simplicity quik Press on all normal household laundry and linens from sheets and tablecloths to shilts and blouses. Produce excellent results on sewing, crafting and quilting projects.
  • Padded pressing surface protects buttons, delicate accessories, and fasteners. At 9" x 22", the padded pressing surface is 7 times larger than regular irons so the Quik Press will cut your ironing time dramatically.
  • Up to 100 pounds of pressure produces crisp, sharp creases and securely adheres fusible materials and heat transfers; also press several layers at one time; compare to 20 pounds of pressure available with your conventional iron.
  • Half-pressure for more delicate items
  • Energy savings-Simplicity quik Press use ranges between 1300 to 1350 watts. Most hand-held irons range between 1100 to 1300 watts.
  • Heats up to 410 degrees; multiple temperature settings accommodates a variety of fabrics including cotton, wool, silk, linen, polyester, rayon and delicate fabrics such as velvet and sheers.
  • Safety Features-automatic shut off and automatic safety alarm features turn off the electric power to the heater when the pressing plate has been left against the ironing board for more than 10 seconds or if the pressing plate is left in the open position without use after approximately 15 minutes. The heating ability is restored when the pressing plate is lowered or raised from its current position.
  • Compact and portable dry press with locking handle, weighs just over 20 pounds; measures 9 inches wide when closed for storage.
  • Ample room behind the ironing board makes it easy to press layers of sheeting and linens.
  • Non-stick Teflon pressing shoe and variable temperature control for every pressing need from adhering appliques and heat transfers to quilting and crafting.
  • The non-stick cotton cover is washable. The pressing cushion can be used to shape tailored garments, pleats, gathers, and contoured areas such as sleeves, darts and yokes.
  • Suitable for Pressing and Fusing
  • Power indicator & ready lights
  • Rubber stoppers hold press firmly in place
  • Cord storage in press base
  • No Holes in Heating Surface
  • Can be used while sitting down or standing up

Ideas for using the Simplicity Quick Press

  • Press sharp creases in a pair of trousers or jeans. Using full pressure allows you to press both pant legs at the same time.
  • Press a shirt starting with the sleeves first followed by the body. Press the collar and cuffs last. Pull the shirt towards you as you press. Use the pressing cushion to shape contoured areas such as darts, gathers, and pockets.
  • Press pleats in a skirt or window treatment.
  • Press the front and back of a knit t-shirt. Using the press on knit fabrics enables you to press without stretching the fabric out of shape.
  • Press a very sheer fabric. Lower the heat setting and use very little pressure. Fold fabric in half or in fourths to show how you can press several layers at one time.
  • Press lace, ribbons and other trims. Spray lace with starch and cover with a press cloth before pressing. Heirloom sewers will love this!
  • Apply fusible interfacings to fabrics.
  • Apply fusible, tear-away stabilizers to fabric. Press machine embroidered articles by placing fabric rightside down on the padded board.
  • Apply photo transfers to fabric, refer to directions included with transfer paper. REMEMBER THAT THE PRESS AUTO SHUT OFF EVERY 10 SECONDS REQUIRES THAT YOU LIFT THE PRESS HANDLE AND PUT IT BACK DOWN EVERY 10 SECONDS FOR SAFETY REASONS. Many of the transfer papers require an extremely hot,dry iron and lots of pressure, making the press a perfect tool for this application.
  • Press quilt blocks by first opening the seams with your conventional iron. Press with full pressure on the quik press.
  • Apply fusible batting to fabric using half-pressure.
  • Press velvet and other napped fabrics by placing them with the napped side up, cover with a dampened press cloth and press with half pressure.
  • Emboss velvet, wool and fleece fabrics using stamps with wooden or plastic bases. Place the stamp on the padded board with the design facing up. Lightly mist the wrong side of the fabric. Place the napped side of the fabric on top of the stamp. Press 2 or 3 times with full pressure.
  • Apply fusible patches, appliques, and crystals by pressing with full pressure. Place a Teflon pressing sheet over crystals.
  • Temporarily place zippers before sewing by applying fusible tape to the right side of the zipper. Place rightside of the zipper along the opened seam and press with full pressure.
  • From the time you turn it on, it takes the Simplicity quik press approximately 3 minutes to heat to 410F degrees, the highest setting. The variable temperature controls include settings for nylon, silk, wool, cotton and linen. The temperature ranges for each setting are as follows:

  • Nylon: 176-230F
  • Silk: 194-266F
  • Cotton: 338-392F
  • Linen: 356-410F

Frequently Asked Questions

Top

(Q) Do you have a press that is able to sustain pressing with starch at a heavy level, and if so what are the price ranges?
(A) If you use spray starcy and a cotton press cloth in between the hot iron shoe and the fabric, it would not be a problem with any press we sell. Without the press cloth on top of the garment, the starch would build up on the iron shoe and it is hard to clean off, even with Iron Off which is like Easy Off for cleaning ovens.

Tamara G., Seymour TX
I work in a dry cleaners for years and I found that this product ranked right up there with ease and the ability as the professional ones. I have enjoyed this product fully. It has already paid for itself in cleaning charges.

Joni D, Ponca City, Ok
I am very happy with the product and the service. I highly recommended my Simplicty SP100 presser and one of my firends already has her own. Another friend told me her mother ordered the same product based on my recommendation. The presser is great! Mu son who is 16 and my 14 year old daughter are doing their own ironing without any push from me. They also think the presser is great and so easy to do before school each morning. Works for me!
