What do I do if my canister vacuum overheats?
This unit is equipped with a motor protective thermostat. If for some reason the vacuum cleaner should overheat, the thermostat will automatically turn the unit off. Should this occur, unplug the vacuum cleaner from the wall outlet and turn off switch. Remove dust cup and empty. Clean dust cup filter. Allow the unit to cool for approximately 1 hour. To restart, re-plug into wall outlet and turn switch back on.

What do I do if my unit will not pick up or the suction is weak?
If this occurs, check the following:
Empty and wash the HEPA or Cloth dust cup filter.
Possible blockage in the flexible hose or the floor attachment, remove clog.
Check for any obstruction in the air duct of the dust cup container.
Replace Hepa/Cloth dust cup filter

Why is my turbo brush rotating slowly or not rotating at all?
Check for and remove any obstructions from the rotating brush, the hose or the neck of the turbo brush. If the belt has broken, the turbo brush must be replaced. Emptying and cleaning of the HEPA or cloth filter is also recommended.

There is dust escaping from my unit, what do I do?
Empty dust cup if full and make sure that it is installed correctly. Check for any puncture or perforations in your filter and replace immediately.

The suction on my unit decreases when I add the attachments, why is that so?
Check the flexible hose and floor attachments for any obstruction and remove immediately. Ensure that your attachments are firmly positioned in place. The suction will diminish when your HEPA or cloth filter is full. Be sure to empty and wash the filters often and replace if necessary.

How often should I replace the HEPA filter, Cloth Filter and Post Motor Filter?
The HEPA Dust Cup Filter and Cloth Filter may be washed. However, we recommend that this NOT be done more frequently than once every three (3) months. When washing your HEPA Dust Cup Filter, hold filter cartridge by frame flange and rinse under a tap until all observable dirt has been removed. Some discoloration of the HEPA filter material may occur, this is normal and will not affect the filter�s performance. When finished, shake off excess water. Do not wash in dishwasher. It is important that when you wash the HEPA dust cup filter, you allow it to air dry completely before using again. We recommend 24 hours to air dry.
The cloth filter can be washed as well and must be completely dry before using again. We recommend 24 hours to air dry as well.

The post motor filter should be cleaned twice a year or when it becomes visibly solid. This filter may also be washed.

We recommend using a mild detergent if any of your filters are severely clogged.
