Our Brother XL2600I 59 Stitch Functions sewing machine has an easier top drop in bobbin with full rotary hook, than the Sears Kenmore item# 02015358000 Mfr. model# 15358 58 Stitch Functions made by Janome, which has the old style, underneath front load shuttle hook and bobbin case you have to remove when changing bobbins. Sears 15358 is slower and noisery because the oscillating shuttle clicks and wears parts more than Brother's rotary action. It is also harder to find out how much bobbin thread is left because you have to remove the bobbin case and bobbin to inspect. Brother XL2600i has a clear plastic bobbin cover which allows you to readily see how much bobbin thread if left, so you don't run out. Shuttle hooks are more likely to jam threads than the smooth rotary action of drop in bobbin systems.
