(A)Ronnie, AllBrands bought 1000 Sew Precise sewing machines last year from Janome so that we could sell them for our first ever AllBrands Buy 1 Get 1 Free sale! When the SewPrecise was first introduced and rated best buy in Consumers Digest, we knew it was a winner. We had already sold 273 of them on Janome's mandatory minimum advertised price MAP pricing program before they even allowed us Jan 1 this year to lower the price. We decided 2 for 1 was a better buy for our customers than traditional discounting. Since the SewPrecise is made in Janome's #1 plant in Taichung, Taiwan which we have visited, I know it is better than any of the new models made in Janome's Thailand plant.

(Q)Using the pattern selector wheel on the right side of the machine, I can get up to and including pattern 19 and then the selection on the LCD screen reverts back to #1. Regardless of whether I dial clockwise or counterclockwise, my choices are limited to 1-19. I should have 37 pattern stitches available.
(A)Turn the stitch length dial past zero to the "S" setting for stretch stitches #20-37. Rotate the stitch length dial on the right hand side of the machine past the longest or shortest stitch length, to the red S or + and - to get the reverse cycle stretch stitches on the bottom row of the stitch display on the front of the machine.

I searched the web sites for sewing machines and many stores in our area before deciding on this purchase. My daughter was given a Janome brand sewing machine and really likes it. Her mother-in-law, who gave her the machine, owns a quilt shop and and thinks they are a great brand. My Kenmore brand sewing machine broke after 32 years of use and never had to be serviced.
