Make your machine embroidery sing with this full spectrum collection of gorgeous threads from Aurifil. From the sunny yellows through hot reds, then cooling down through the greens and blues, the colors are designed to match the palette of Island Batik fabrics used in the Roses of Remembrance quilt by Sharon Pederson. There is a color for every temperature and mood. Collection includes 12 large green plastic spools with 1094yd/spool, with 40wt Cotton Mako thread, the "universal" thread weight in the Mako range. This standard size embroidery thread is ideal for most designs. Perfectly suited for machine embroidery. Thread colors include: 2250, 2892, 2888, 2692, 2140, 2225, 4030, 2740, 1125, 2395, 4182 & 1154. For every Rose of Sharon kit sold Aurifil will donate to the Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative (AAQI), a national, grassroots charity whose mission is to raise awareness and fund research (www.AlzQuilts.org). The AAQI auctions and sells donated quilts and sponsors a nationally touring exhibit of quilts about Alzheimers.
