We are pleased to inform you about the new ‘Embroidery Plus Upgrade for the B 790 and the B 880’. The package includes a product key to activate and enable the embroidery functions..

This upgrade is an excellent offer for demanding and ambitious BERNINA customers who would like to keep their machines up to date concerning additional embroidery functions. After the upgrade, the B 790 as well as the B 880 will provide the same functionality as the new B 790 Plus or the B 880 Plus machines which are being launched in fall 2017.

New function to simplify embroidery:
Due to the ‘Embroidery Plus Upgrade’ valuable embroidery functions such as positioning, grouping of objects and changing the embroidery sequence will be activated and enabled. These new functions facilitate the common embroidering and the customers will be delighted.

In addition to the popular Sewing Consultant, BERNINA has now developed an Embroidery Consultant providing useful support concerning the optimal selection of presser foot, needle, thread and stabilizer to suit the embroidery project and material best.



New alphabets and embroidery motifs for new ideas:
The BERNINA machine will be complemented with many new embroidery motifs and alphabets.


Minor effort – major benefit:
After the successful installation of the Update (Infogate Message 68277), the Upgrade will be activated and enabled on the machine quickly.

  The update is available for free and will enhance the embroidery stitch out quality and ease of use. New feature include:
  - Invisible securing when starting or ending embroidering: At the beginning and end of the design, securing stitches are sewn in the stitch direction so they are not visible.
  - Smart Secure: Smartly adds securing stitches to a design if none are pre-programmed.
  - Thread-up command in embroidery mode: particularly convenient for quilting where a nice stitch formation is much appreciated. By lowering and raising the needle when the design is started and finished, the bobbin thread is brought to the top of the fabric to be knotted manually.
  - Centering embroidery motifs: embroidery motifs can be embroidered on the machine in the same position as they are display on the computer when using the BERNINA Embroidery Software 8. The motifs which are saved on the machine also retain their position.
