If your sewing machine drop in bobbin (top load) cover (applies to metal covers not to plastic covers) does not come straight up and off the needle plate (if it slides toward the operator) or if your bobbin case is underneath the top of the arm (front load), you will need to remove the extension table to replace a bobbin.

The Sew Steady Portable Table extends the sewing surface area of your table top sewing machine. It supports fabric for even stitch quality. Tight fitting NO GAP design since tables are specific to machine model. It has easily adjustable snap-on-off legs for easy storage and travel.
A flat sewing surface provides you with the most control when sewing. If you don't have your machine mounted in a cabinet, using a Sew Steady Portable Table is the next best thing. Take it to class so you have a flat surface there, too. Adjustable legs can be removed for transport and storage. Each table is custom cut from 1/4" Plexiglas to fit your particular machine.

SEW STEADY TABLE DESIGN STANDARDS:
All of our tables are designed based on having the accessory tray removed from the machine. We position the machine to have the needle around 5”-7” from the front edge of the table. The table encompasses the entire freearm/flatbed sewing surface (does not wrap to the far-right of the machine). If your machine free arm slopes downward and has contours we may choose to design the table to hover over the slope to ensure a perfectly level, smooth sewing surface. If you have a top loading bobbin and a sloped machine this may affect your use. Please contact us in advance at SewSteady.com for other options. If you are purchasing a Deluxe Table then the holes do not need to be in line with the needle to make circles.

Our tables typically only wrap around the free arm of a machine, they do not typically wrap the full length to the right. Do you need your table to wrap as far to the right side of the machine as possible? __________
The table is designed to never be resting on or touching the machine. You may have to adjust the levelers on the feet to make sure the table is perfectly level with the top of the free arm in order to sit as designed. The table is designed to fit around the free arm with the accessory tray always being removed. We do make some tables that work for Embroidery and Sergers. Please let us know if you are interested in these options. We are happy to accommodate other special requests as well with proper measurements and pictures if needed. Our goal is to get you the right table the first time. If you decide you do not like the placement requested the first time, there is a $50 fee for a 2nd revision

CUSTOM CUTOUTS WILL INCURE ADDITIONAL COST IF DATA IS NOT ON FILE. The custom fee for home made cabinet inserts is still $100-150 more if CNC data is not already on file with Sew Steady. If Possible, we recommend buying an insert and use that to cut your opening instead of cutting then buying. It saves you the custom fee.*

Sew Steady Cabinet Inserts are designed to fit your specific make and model of freearm sewing machine and cabinet. The Insert fills the gap between the sewing machine and the opening of the cabinet to create a flat working surface*. Made with one of the highest grades of acrylic.
Please be careful when determining the make and model of your cabinet. It is vital to ensure the proper size insert is selected since this product is made-to-order and non-returnable. If you are unsure of the make or model, have a custom cabinet or one that is not listed, or desire a bespoke design, we will work with you to determine the right product. Please see the Frequently Asked Questions(FAQ) section below for more information.
*Please Note: Inserts are made for your machine and the width of the opening of the cabinet or table. Depending on the size of your sewing machine compared to the opening of the cabinet or table, the insert may not extend all the way around machine as shown. Machines must be smaller than the cabinet opening by a minimum 3" in depth at widest part(front to back) and 2" in length (left to right) for insert to wrap completely around machine as shown in picture.If the machine is wider or longer than these minimums we may still be able to make a Filler piece to help fill gaps and still create a smooth sewing surface. Our standard Insert design allows for approximately 1-1/2” – 2” on the right for clearance for the cords and handwheel, when space permits.
LIP -Inserts have a lip to catch on the cabinet top - this is when the cabinet opening has no method to support the insert.
NO LIP - Inserts sit flush inside the cabinet opening & rest on a ledge built within the cabinet.

SEW STEADY INSERT/INSERT DESIGN STANDARDS: All of our inserts are designed based on having any accessory tray removed from the machine. The standard is to have enough space on the right side of the cabinet opening to allow space for machine cords, to use on/off switch, and accommodate for the hand wheel to be pushed down into the cabinet. The insert is designed to be perfectly level with the free arm of the machine. If you have a top loading bobbin this may affect your use. Please contact us in advance for other options. If the machine fills the majority of the opening of your cabinet then we may have options outside of a standard full insert to help fill in those smaller gaps. If you plan to use a knee lift feature while your machine is in the cabinet, contact us for placement. Sew Steady Cabinet Inserts are designed to fit your specific make and model of freearm sewing machine and cabinet. The Insert fills the gap between the sewing machine and the opening of the cabinet to create a flat working surface*. Made with one of the highest grades of acrylic.
Please be careful when determining the make and model of your cabinet. It is vital to ensure the proper size insert is selected since this product is made-to-order and non-returnable. If you are unsure of the make or model, have a custom cabinet or one that is not listed, or desire a bespoke design, we will work with you to determine the right product. Please see the Frequently Asked Questions(FAQ) section below for more information.
*Please Note: Inserts are made for your machine and the width of the opening of the cabinet or table. Depending on the size of your sewing machine compared to the opening of the cabinet or table, the insert may not extend all the way around machine as shown. Machines must be smaller than the cabinet opening by a minimum 3" in depth at widest part(front to back) and 2" in length (left to right) for insert to wrap completely around machine as shown in picture.
If the machine is wider or longer than these minimums we may still be able to make a Filler piece to help fill gaps and still create a smooth sewing surface. Our standard Insert design allows for approximately 1-1/2” – 2” on the right for clearance for the cords and handwheel, when space permits.
LIP -Inserts have a lip to catch on the cabinet top - this is when the cabinet opening has no method to support the insert.
NO LIP - Inserts sit flush inside the cabinet opening & rest on a ledge built within the cabinet.

SEW STEADY TABLE DESIGN STANDARDS:
All of our tables are designed based on having the accessory tray removed from the machine. We position the machine to have the needle around 5”-7” from the front edge of the table. The table encompasses the entire freearm/flatbed sewing surface (does not wrap to the far-right of the machine). If your machine free arm slopes downward and has contours we may choose to design the table to hover over the slope to ensure a perfectly level, smooth sewing surface. If you have a top loading bobbin and a sloped machine this may affect your use. Please contact us in advance for other options. If you are purchasing a Deluxe Table then the holes do not need to be in line with the needle to make circles.

The table is designed to never be resting on or touching the machine. You may have to adjust the levelers on the feet to make sure the table is perfectly level with the top of the free arm in order to sit as designed. The table is designed to fit snuggly around the free arm with the accessory tray always being removed. We do make some tables that work for Embroidery and Sergers. Please let us know if you are interested in these options. We are happy to accommodate other special requests as well with proper measurements and pictures if needed. Our goal is to get you the right table the first time. If you decide you do not like the placement requested the first time, there is a $50 fee for a 2nd revision

Other tested and proven cleaning agents are Sew Steady Polish Kit, Turtle Wax Paste and Goo Gone Gel. Similar untested products may work, but use at your own risk.CAUTION: Do not place anything hot on acrylic. Never have sewing machine arm lower than cabinet insert. Do not stand on, lean on, or apply unnecessary pressure, outside of standard sewing use, to acrylic.

*Sew Steady Free Motion Table 32x24" for Home Sewing Machines. The longer your machine arm, the closer to the end of the table the needle will be. If your machine arm is too short, you may need to stand up to reach the needle comfortably with your arms and hands. We recommend a smaller table if the needle is over 10" from the end of of the table.
Note: This table was designed for machines with free arms longer than 13” overall length (not needle to neck) If you free arm is shorter than that this size of table may not be ideal as the needle will be more than 10” from the front of the table.

The Sew Steady Portable Table extends the sewing surface area of your table top sewing machine. It supports fabric for even stitch quality. Tight fitting NO GAP design since tables are specific to machine model. It has easily adjustable snap-on-off legs for easy storage and travel.
A flat sewing surface provides you with the most control when sewing. If you don't have your machine mounted in a cabinet, using a Sew Steady Portable Table is the next best thing. Take it to class so you have a flat surface there, too. Adjustable legs can be removed for transport and storage. Each table is custom cut from 1/4" Plexiglas to fit your particular machine.

All of our tables are designed based on having the accessory tray removed from the machine. We position the machine to have the needle around 5”-7” from the front edge of the table. The table encompasses the entire freearm/flatbed sewing surface (does not wrap to the far-right of the machine). If your machine free arm slopes downward and has contours we may choose to design the table to hover over the slope to ensure a perfectly level, smooth sewing surface. If you have a top loading bobbin and a sloped machine this may affect your use. Please contact us in advance for other options. If you are purchasing a Deluxe Table then the holes do not need to be in line with the needle to make circles.

The table is designed to never be resting on or touching the machine. You may have to adjust the levelers on the feet to make sure the table is perfectly level with the top of the free arm in order to sit as designed. The table is designed to fit snuggly around the free arm with the accessory tray always being removed. We do make some tables that work for Embroidery and Sergers. Please let us know if you are interested in these options. We are happy to accommodate other special requests as well with proper measurements and pictures if needed. Our goal is to get you the right table the first time. If you decide you do not like the placement requested the first time, there is a $50 fee for a 2nd revision

EXCELLENT FOR FREE MOTION: Irene H on Jun 02, 2017The Free Motion Glider is a slick Teflon sheet that fits on your machine bed and allows you to move your fabric easily under the needle. I believe this item or one like it is essential for easy free motion quilting. As another reviewer noted, the "sticky" side does not stay sticky. This is just fine because I think it's a best practice to use masking tape or blue painter's tape to tape all four corners of the glider down even if it is sticking well. This avoids any problems with the underside not sticking or with the glider shifting.

Two Types of Quilting Foot / Drop Feed
Two typed of quilting feet are supplied as standard accessories with the machine. A 1/5 Quilting Foot is used for basic quilting and the Quilting Foot for precision sewing with 1/4" inch stitch width. The feed dog can be raised and lowered simply by depressing a switch. When quilting, the drop feed allows you to sew curved stitches with ease.
Even Feed Foot
With its reliable feed, the even feed foot ensures the machine's ability to produce beautiful seams when sewing difficult-to-feed fabrics such as georgette and velvet, as well as heavy weight materials such as leather.
Automatic Thread Trimmer
The machine is equipped with an automatic thread trimming device that simultaneously cuts the needle and bobbin threads at the sewing end by lightly pressing the push-button. It uses the thread trimming mechanism that is similar to the industrial sewing machine type.
Easy Bobbin Replacement
A new bobbin case latch and an enlarged bobbin case area make it easier to remove and replace the bobbin.
Automatic Needle Threader
The push lever automatic needle threader easily threads the needle without eyestrain and allows you to start sewing quickly.
Knee Lifter Lever
The knee lifter lever allows you to lift / lower the presser foot without using your hands.
Adjustment of Presser Foot Pressure
Presser foot pressure can be adjusted according to the fabric being sewn by turning a regulator located on the top of the machine.

SEW STEADY TABLE DESIGN STANDARDS:
All of our tables are designed based on having the accessory tray removed from the machine. We position the machine to have the needle around 5”-7” from the front edge of the table. The table encompasses the entire freearm/flatbed sewing surface (does not wrap to the far-right of the machine). If your machine free arm slopes downward and has contours we may choose to design the table to hover over the slope to ensure a perfectly level, smooth sewing surface. If you have a top loading bobbin and a sloped machine this may affect your use. Please contact us in advance for other options. If you are purchasing a Deluxe Table then the holes do not need to be in line with the needle to make circles.
