Collage It! is fun, easy and versatile. This 12-inch square (finished dimension) is a perfect starting point for a wall hanging or pillow. To enlarge the dimensions, select a coordinating fabric to create a “frame” around it.

Fabric Requirements
Here's a great way to de-clutter your stash. Use large scraps of fabric that coordinate together. The largest pieces are 12.5" long.

Three to five colors work well on this design—it's your choice. Because the pieces are fused to interfacing, use woven or knit fabrics. Fleece works great! If using woven fabrics, the edges won't fray thanks to the butted seam technique.

Grain lines are not important. Position the individual pieces in any direction on your fabrics.

About Gail Patrice Design

My grandmother’s treadle sewing machine is the earliest memory I have of needle and thread. The last thing she ever sewed was a blue dress with a white collar and wide sashes for a bow in the back. I wore it the first day of kindergarten and would have worn it every day if allowed. Maybe this memory is what first drew me to sewing.

In 1998, I started taking all types of classes at Manchester Sewing Machine Center in CT. Sewing quickly became a passion and a form of creative expression. Experimenting with all types of embellishment techniques is a favorite pastime. Teaching classes/workshops and interacting with all levels of sewing enthusiasts continues to be a source of inspiration and fun.

I’m an active member of the American Sewing Guild CT Chapter and moderated the Manchester Neighborhood Group’s activities for over 10 years. Designing patterns for beautiful clothes and bags is the heart of Gail Patrice Design and sharing my love of sewing and serging is the soul.
