The Filler Paddle allows you to create template designs in a circular pattern. The numbers on the paddle are only for reference and do not represent units of measure. Use the paddle to fill the opening outside of the design and position one of the holes in the Paddle on a thumb tack in the middle of the design area. Not all templates will have the type of opening to use with the paddle. However, you can still tape the Paddle to the template.

The Filler Paddle has been designed by Donelle McAdams for use with Templates with a 1/2” width space to allow for the Filler Paddle.

Sew Steady Westalee RULER FOOT SOLD SEPARATELY! I was stitching and Echo around a Spin-e-fex design using a curved ruler on my domestic machine. The 1/2” was easy, but when stitching the 3/4” and 1”echo I decide to try our Inner Circles for Longarm machines (we had been making this tool since 2009) and I use them often. Well the tools worked like a dream and with a little alteration they fit our Ruler foot perfectly.

These tools are made to compliment the Braider and the Square in a Square Blocks. The measurements are for blocks set On-Point in Braid and Square in a Square.

When making a Square in a Square Block or a Block set into a Braid, the center block has an unusual finished measurement making it difficult to make apieced blocks. If making a Block to fit an 8"x8" Block finished Square in a Square Block the measurement to the center block is 5.657"x5.657" - to make a simple 16 patch center block you will need to divide 5.657 by 4 5.657 / 4 = 1.41425". If you think cutting squares at 1.41425" is difficult or near impossible try cutting Half Square or Quarter Square Triangles. You can now make pieced center blocks for Braid and Square in a Square Blocks, EASILY without having to do the math.
