The AllBrands Show | Luminaire ScanNCut Pocket Pillow Project with Caroline Booth of Needle Quirks 7/27/23 at 3:30 Central
Join us with Caroline Booth of NeedleQuirks as we show how this cute Pocket Pillow was created on the Brother Luminaire and ScanNCut. The pocket is assembled utilizing My Design Center on the Luminaire. The butterfly is a built-in design on the ScanNCut, and is cut from Glitter HTV and pressed onto the pocket where a blanket stitch is applied to further secure it. The lettering was designed in DIME's Word Art in Stitches software. Upon completion of the pocket, the pillow can be assembled using the sewing side of the Luminaire or on a serger. As you stitch in the hoop (ITH) designs, there are times you need to work on the backside of the hoop.
When working on the back, place the hoop over the Hoop N Press pad with the back side of the hoop facing up. The pad will supply support as you tape, press, fold, trim and manipulate fabrics in place.
Most importantly your hoop will have support while pressing fabrics on the back side with an iron to create fabulous projects!
Pressing in the hoop creates crisp folds and seams allowing main fabrics and linings to lie beautifully while not disturbing the stabilizer. The non-slip surface on the bottom of the pads holds them securely while you are working.
When working on the back, place the hoop over the Hoop N Press pad with the back side of the hoop facing up. The pad will supply support as you tape, press, fold, trim and manipulate fabrics in place.

Version 2.4.0 of the CanvasWorkspace(Win/Mac) will enhance your experience in this PC application.

Hello Everyone! Just downloaded and played with the new Brother and Baby Lock Design Database Transfer program. This is a FREE program that allows you to transfer your designs wirelessly from your machine if it has the wireless feature! So cool! You can also search for designs, print catalogs of designs and manage your designs with this free program. You need to download the Baby Lock version for the Baby Lock machines or the Brother version for the Brother machines. This is a FREE program that allows you to transfer your designs wirelessly from your machine if it has the wireless feature! So cool! You can also search for designs, print catalogs of designs and manage your designs with this free program. You need to download the Baby Lock version for the Baby Lock machines or the Brother version for the Brother machines. How to use Fusible Mesh Cut-AwayIdeal for performance wear knits, this cut-away eliminates the stretching in the hoop as your embroidery machine stitches. By ironing the fusible mesh to the shell fabric, you can stop puckering from ruining your design!
Just follow these simple steps:
1. Set your iron to a low or medium setting - about 260 degree silk setting.
2. Before placing your garment in the hoop, iron or heat press the cut-away stabilizer with its shiny side against the back of your material.
3. Use only a dry iron – NO STEAM! Apply the heat to the top of your garment and not the side with the stabilizer. Fusible mesh begins to liquefy when heat is applied, so you want to always heat the top and not the side with the mesh. This way the mesh will flow into your material to provide stability.
4. Do not move the garment around. Simply press the iron and push down for 10-15 seconds with about 45 pounds of pressure. This will start the bonding process.
5. After the fusible mesh has bonded, hoop the garment and bonded mesh being careful not to separate the two. You will see that the stitching does not stretch the fabric and there is no puckering.
6. Once your design is completed, remove the garment from the hoop and physically cut the mesh away. Immediately peel it back and trim it. You can reheat the mesh to be able to peel it back easily.
