    The Brother 2340CV is a more economical model, offering a wide 6mm, triple-needle cover stitch and a chain stitch. Because they only do these two types of stitches, they're extremely fast—up to 1,000 stitches per minute—and much easier to set up and use. They look more like regular sewing machines, and offer familiar features that make them easier to use than sergers.

    This machine will allow you to hem T-Shirts, attach lace, attach taping and binding, sew decorative stitching, attach elastic, attach lace, do belt loop stitching, circular hemming, attach elastic lace & hem stitching

    The cover stitch is especially suited to stretchy fabrics like knits, as well as the popular new blends of traditional woven fabrics with a small percentage of stretch fiber added for extra flexibility. The Cover stitch series machines are ideal for constructing projects from fashion tops to competition ice skating costumes.

    The cover stitch is a serger type stitch made without the knives (no fabric is cut), so it can be used not only to finish hems, necklines, collars and cuffs, but also for decorative effects in the middle of the fabric. Cover stitches can be made with two or three needles. For example, a double needle cover stitch will show two lines of straight stitching on the top of the fabric with the two lines joined by a looping stitch on the bottom side. Because both sides of a cover stitch are finished, it looks great with decorative thread.

The cover stitch series machines are ideal for constructing projects from fashion tops to competition ice skating costumes. The cover stitch is a serger type stitch made without the knives (no fabric is cut), so it can be used not only to finish hems, necklines, collars and cuffs, but also for decorative effects in the middle of the fabric. Cover stitches can be made with two or three needles. For example, a double needle cover stitch will show two lines of straight stitching on the top of the fabric with the two lines joined by a looping stitch on the bottom side. Because both sides of a cover stitch are finished, it looks great with decorative thread.

      SEW STEADY TABLE DESIGN STANDARDS:
      All of our tables are designed based on having the accessory tray removed from the machine. We position the machine to have the needle around 5”-7” from the front edge of the table. The table encompasses the entire freearm/flatbed sewing surface (does not wrap to the far-right of the machine). If your machine free arm slopes downward and has contours we may choose to design the table to hover over the slope to ensure a perfectly level, smooth sewing surface. If you have a top loading bobbin and a sloped machine this may affect your use. Please contact us in advance at SewSteady.com for other options. If you are purchasing a Deluxe Table then the holes do not need to be in line with the needle to make circles.

      The table is designed to never be resting on or touching the machine. You may have to adjust the levelers on the feet to make sure the table is perfectly level with the top of the free arm in order to sit as designed. The table is designed to fit around the free arm with the accessory tray always being removed. We do make some tables that work for Embroidery and Sergers.     The Sew Much More Craft & Hobby Table, also known as “Gidget” to her friends, offers free arm and flatbed sewing with an adjustable platform. Gidget I has an opening size of 17-1/2 wide” x 7-3/8″ deep (front to back).

    The steel locking legs offer a sturdy base, but fold up neatly for easy storage.

    The tough melamine surface is mar-resistant, allowing for years of use. It’s great for sewing, and makes a handy crafting table too!

    COMPARE GIDGET I VS. GIDGET II:
    Gidget I has a smaller opening size (17 ½” W vs 7 ⅜” D) compared to the large opening on Gidget II (23 ½” W x 12” D)
    Gidget II Table features two wheels for easier portability when folded flat. Gidget I does not have wheels but can easily be transported with collapsible legs.
    Gidget I is made of particle board with steel locking legs. Gidget II is made with denser MDF (medium density fiberboard) and steel locking legs.
    Gidget II will require a custom made insert for her opening. Gidget I has a smaller opening, and may not need an insert if your machine is deep enough to fill most gaps.
