International Quilt Festival/Houston (1975–Present)

The International Quilt Festival is the largest annual quilt show in the U.S. and takes place each fall in Houston, Texas. Festival regularly attracts more than 40,000 people from over 25 countries all around the world.

There’s shopping at more than 700 booths for quilts, fabric, supplies, and crafts, along with 350 classes and lectures for all experience levels. Festival features more than 1,200 quilts and unique works of textile art on display. We also have editions in the spring and summer in different cities. Laura Heine Collage Class Supplies class fee 70.00 Be sure to check your pattern for the supplies for your specific Laura Heine pattern. In addition: • Extra-fine Sharpie marker • Pencil • Scissors- Serrated scissors work great • Steam a Seam 2 (rather than wonder under or heat n bond) • Ziploc bags for fused scraps is helpful • Iron and ironing pad, can be a small iron • Rotary cutter, mat, and ruler to trim up fused pieces • A pool noodle to roll up everything helps if you are making something large. • No sewing machine needed unless you want to sew pieces together for the background- or do that before class
