Love the look of a Mariner’s Compass but don’t want to paper piece or use templates?? Then get ready to do some stripping, Strip piecing that is! This 16 point Mariner’s Compass block can be made either as a skinny or fat Mariner’s Compass depending on which unique ruler you chose. The beauty of the ruler is you can make blocks in 16 different sizes with several variations. Once you get the basics that will be taught in this class you unleash your imagination and create dazzling blocks and quilts.
In this class we will be making the basic Mariner’s Compass block as shown in the photo. We will even go over the different ways to finish the blocks. When you sign up for the class you will get a handout with the little bit of prep work to complete before class so we get our bearings straight and sail to a perfect finish!
Classes will be held from 10:30-3pm. The class is $35 for the day plus supplies. The Robin Ruth Mariner’s compass Ruler and Book combo is required for this class and I have a few available for purchase if you need one. Sign up for class as space is limited!
