Come to this class to learn what you need to know to manage your embroidery design collection, navigate the web to purchase, download, and unzip files, and transfer designs to a usb stick and/or external hard drive (if you use one). You will need to bring your laptop WITH A WORKING MOUSE, a usb stick and your external hard drive (if you have one). Mardi Gras Bag – A Sewing & Embroidery Project

Come to class to sew and embroider this cool Mardi Gras Bead Bag! Approximately 17" x 22" x 4". Drawstring top uses parachute cord and squared bottom includes a heavy duty grommet. Fully lined so no threads for beads to get caught on. The straps allow you to carry the bag on the shoulder or as a backpack. We will work primarily with cardstock, adhesive vinyl, and heat transfer vinyl in this class (we will practice the HTV on scrap fabric; if you prefer, you can bring a T-shirt or other item to use). We will practice with the features included on your machine (see ScanNCut #2 for working with Canvas Workspace). You'll go home with 2 completed projects of your very own. We will explore how to use your SNC to create cut files for Applique and/or Quilting. You will need to bring your ScanNCut machine and a laptop WITH A WORKING MOUSE. Please come at least 15-20 minutes early to set up your machines. To take this class, you must know the basic operations of your SNC machine (load a pattern, load a mat, perform a cut). In this class, we will applique on a hand towel. Please note: This class is for those new to applique, but who are familiar with their own embroidery machine. You should be able to easily thread your machine (including bobbin) and perform basic hooping before attending this class! Multi-Hooping – Tips & Tricks

Want to stitch a design that’s too big for your hoop? Have a great big pillow design in mind and only a 5” x 7” embroidery area on your machine? Come learn some tips and techniques for multi-hooping! In this hands-on class, you will learn excellent techniques for repositioning your fabrics in order to stitch large designs on small hoops. These techniques also come in handy when trying to reposition a project that has “popped” out of its hoop before the project was finished stitching! For this class, you will need to bring your machine along with either a 5”x7” hoop or a 4”x4” hoop, as well as a laptop WITH A WORKING MOUSE! Easter Bib – In The Hoop Project – 4 hour Class!

This adorable bib is an in-the-hoop project! You may use either a 5”x7” hoop (newborn size), or a 6”x10” or larger for an infant/toddler size bib. The lining/backing of the bib (the final step) is attached using a sewing machine, so you will need both your embroidery and sewing machines, or a combo machine, and your basic supplies. Applique scissors are a must! You will need to know the basics of your own machine in order to keep up with the pace in this class – this class is not for brand-new beginners. When you register, be sure to indicate which size bib you will be making, and your kit will be prepared and ready for you on class day!
