This two-part beginner sewing class is designed for those who are new to sewing and/or want a
refresher on sewing machine basics. In a supportive, hands-on environment, students will learn
the essential skills needed to get started with machine sewing and complete a custom 18”

Class #1 will include how to properly thread a sewing machine, wind and insert a bobbin, and
practice straight stitching.
Foundational sewing techniques such as sewing accurate seams and understanding basic machine
controls will be covered. These skills will be practiced step by step, building confidence and
comfort with the sewing machine. Recommended essential supplies for a successful sewing
journey will also be covered.

Class #2 will focus on basic skills necessary to construct and complete a custom 18” envelope
