- The SINGER® 7466 is a fully electronic sewing machine and offers a large variety of stitches (70 stitches, 120 stitch functions) for construction, fashion sewing, quilting, heirloom, crafts, home decorating and decorative sewing. Other features include One-step automatic buttonholes, 13 needle positions, automatic needle threader and more.
- It has a full range of utility, decorative, quilting, heirloom, and stretch stitches.
- Each stitch is electronically formed and optimally set, which means every stitch is sewn with exact precision.
- You can even do free motion work with its drop feed feature.
- The SINGER® 7466 also threads quickly and easily with its 6-Second Threading System.
- And with Pushbutton Stitch Selection, even selecting a stitch is a snap.
- Class 15J Bobbins - Are you familiar with the class 15J bobbin? This is a special class bobbin used in the 7400 series of machines, as well as the Futura (CE-100) and Quantum Futura (CE-200). Do not use regular class 15 bobbins in these machines, they will cause tension problems and can damage the bobbin case. The 15J is slightly smaller than the regular class 15, and the edges have a slight curve towards the center. The part number for this bobbin is 085128.

Built-In Stretch Stitches
Specially designed stitches that add strength and flexibility to seams, especially useful when sewing on knitwear and superstretch fabrics.
Adjustable Stitch Length
Optimal settings for length are automatically adjusted when choosing a stitch. They can be overridden to personalize length choice.
Adjustable Stitch Width
Optimal settings for width are automatically adjusted when choosing a stitch. They can be overridden to personalize width choice.
Center Zigzag Taper
When tapering with the zigzag stitch, the stitch tapers to the center, not the left or right. This provides a more attractive look when tapering into or out of a point.
Tie-off decorative stitches with just a push of a button. Reinforcing the end of the stitch ensures quality stitching and avoids raveling.
Choose from 3 different one step buttonhole styles. Buttonhole sewing is a one step simple process, providing reliable results. Each side of the buttonhole is sewn in the same direction, creating beautifully balanced buttonholes.
With just a simple push of a button you have selected the stitch and the optimum settings for length, width, balance, pressure and tension.
With a maximum sewing speed of 750 stitches-per-minute, projects can be sewn quickly.
Thread a machine in just 6 seconds! No tediously following manuals instruction to thread the machine, just follow the arrows on the machine...and you are threaded in a snap.

Which machine would you recommend that could stitch heaver fabrics, if I
wish to.
The Singer 7466 is a full size computer sewing machine
which has the power to sew interior fabrics that comfortably fit under the
presser foot when it is raised. If you have to force the fabric under the
foot, or if the fabrics are too hard or densely woven like exterior fabrics,
it may be too much for the machine. You should always use denim needles size
14 or 16 for heavier fabrics. Hope this helps. Thanks. John Douthat, owner
and tech.
What is Error Code 88 in LCD Display Window.
Code 88 is a threading issue.
First you need to make sure that you are using the original bobbins that came with your machine, your machine uses a plastic class 15J bobbin, if you want to purchase more the part number is 085128. If you have purchased additional bobbins, make sure they are the correct ones. Do NOT use pre-wound bobbins or metal bobbins; they will cause tension problems. Using the incorrect bobbin can cause the timing to be disrupted on your machine. If this is the case, the machine will need to be serviced.
The quality of the thread you use will also impact the quality of your stitching, more often than not; tension problems are often caused by poor or old dried out thread. We recommend using Coats and Clark or Gutterman thread.
Use only Singer brand needles, category 2020 for wovens and category 2045 for knits and synthetics. Using other brands such as Schmetz will cause tension problems. Using another brand of needle can also cause the timing to be disrupted.
The problem you are having may also be an indication that the upper tension disks of your machine are not threaded correctly. Here is an easy test you can perform to help you determine if your machine is threaded correctly. First raise the presser foot (UP POSITION) by turning the hand wheel TOWARDS you, never turn it away from you, you can knock the timing out when you do this. Now go ahead and thread the machine all the way to the last guide before the needle (DO NOT THREAD THE NEEDLE). (When threading this area of the machine, it helps if you hold the thread securely with your right hand just after you slip the spool of thread and spool cap on to the spool pin. Continue holding the thread until you arrive at the last thread guide before the needle). Next with the presser foot UP pull the thread towards you, there should be very little resistance. Now LOWER the presser foot, if the tension disks are threaded correctly, there should be a significant difference in the tension when you pull the thread. There should be resistance. If there was very little difference with the foot down versus the foot up, you need to repeat the threading steps. If there is a significant resistance, proceed to threading the needle. You are now ready to sew. You will find more threading information by visiting our website at www.singerco.com, and clicking on "Sewing Resources” on the toolbar and then select “Operation Basics".
If the problem persists, please take your machine in for service to your local Singer retailer. To find a retailer go to www.singerco.com, click on “Where to Buy” and then enter your zip code. If your machine is still covered by the warranty (parts and labor are covered for 1-year from date of purchase), please take or ship it to one of the warranty centers at SingerCo.com. Be sure to include a copy of your receipt, the warranty center needs this to complete warranty work.
This unit is the best - not having to adjust tension, just go and sew! Love IT! Thank you

My daughter is thrilled with the product!

I have owned this machine for 18 months now and still love it. All the features work, I love that I don't need to oil the machine. I do maintain the bobbin case, which I think is easy to take apart and put back. The Singer 7466 sewing machine is a great buy. Helen

I have never had a product that was standard (free) delivery arrive in three days. Ordered late night Tuesday. Arrived on Friday morning. Also, I verified that you had the best price, including the free shipping. Other sites were selling the same model of sewing machine with the same price but the machines were refurbished and only had a 90 day warranty. If the item was not refurbished then the next lowest price was at least $50 higher and shipping was not included. My mother is extremely happy with her present.
