The 5100IS has an absolute capacity of 2.2L, uses our new external heating element system to maximize the amount of steam available to use and has an operating pressure of 3.5 bar / 50 P.S.I. for maximum ironing efficiency. The supplied #2100IR steam iron with quick connect functionality and variable steam control uses our exclusive 32 steam chamber design to prevent condensation and provide, dry steam.

EXTERNAL SOLENOID VALVE WITH VARIABLE STEAM DIAL
The 5100IS is equipped with an external solenoid for complete steam control. The solenoid allows the user to manually adjust steam output for complete steam control. The quick release fitting allows for easy removal and connecting of a wide variety of accessories.

Tenna After a quick look at the Consew model it looks like it would be most comparable to our 5100IS. Here are some key points: Our 5100IS is Made in Italy with a 2-year warranty on the boiler tank. I believe the Consew and iron are made in China with a 90-day warranty Our 5100IS is fully electrically certified for safe use in Canada and the USA. The Consew is not We offer service here as well as support, troubleshooting, and parts in North America The Consew with iron appears to draw 18 amps/2100W, which means it requires a 20-amp outlet to plug into. Our 5100IS draws 15 amps/1800W and therefore can be plugged into a regular 15-amp household outlet Capacity is similar, with the 5100IS at 2.2L compared to the 2.3L of the Consew. F.A.Q.

Is this a commercial or domestic customer? For the home, our 270IR would be their best bet due to the 8 different temperature settings it has available for various fabrics and applications. I would just encourage them to use parchment paper or something to ensure any applique iron-on patches do not accidentally transfer to the soleplate.

On the professional side of things, any of our irons from the 3000IS and up will work well as they have variable temperature control for use with various fabrics. The bonus of these is that the customer can use an iron shoe (2000IA) to make sure if there is any transferring it will go to the shoe and not harm the soleplate of the iron.
