Quilting Space Matters- Your quiltable space will depend on the size of your machine. You will be able to quilt 1.5" less deep than your throat space and approximately 16" wide depending on the size of your machine's base. If you have a machines with a 9" throat and a 8" base you will have a quilting space of 7.5" by 16".

Workspace Requirements- To ensure smooth free-motion quilting, your sewing table must comfortable accommodate both the frame's low-friction mat and your sewing machine:
Mat dimensions: 51" (width) x 27" (depth)
Ideal table area: At minimum, the table should be at least 51" wide and 27" deep, plus extra length to clear the back of your sewing machine (from the back of the throat to the back of the machine "trunk")>
