Grabbit® Sewing Tools is now part of the SCHMETZneedles.com family. Grabbit® has made a commitment to creating inventive sewing products. Our goal is to supply the sewing community with quality products that simplify sewing endeavors and stand the test of time.
Grabbit® Sewing Tools was founded in 1980 by John and Feather King. It began in response to Feather's own frustration with the "pin situation" that was a fact of life for the home sewer. An avid seamstress since the age of 10, she had contended with stray pins being discovered on the floor by bare feet, piles of pins next to the sewing machine and on the ironing board, and most distressing, spilled pins from knocked-over boxes. She devised an ingenious solution to these occurrences in the form of Grabbit™ Magnetic Pincushion which picks up loose pins with a single swipe and "catches" pins "thrown" in its general direction. Grabbit™ Magnetic Pincushion was so unique that it created an entirely new niche in the sewing arena for the handling of pins. Subsequent products such as BobbinSaver™ bobbin holder have continued innovative solutions to sewing issues.
