The Free Motion Glider is a slick Teflon sheet that fits on your machine bed and allows you to move your fabric easily under the needle. I believe this item or one like it is essential for easy free motion quilting. As another reviewer noted, the "sticky" side does not stay sticky. This is just fine because I think it's a best practice to use masking tape or blue painter's tape to tape all four corners of the glider down even if it is sticking well. This avoids any problems with the underside not sticking or with the glider shifting.
