Thu, Apr 21, 10:00 AM through through Sat, Apr 23, 04:00 PM
Tamara Evans has been sewing for as long as she can remember and loves every aspect of it - except handwork. Her "professional" sewing experience began in Jr. High sewing costumes, home décor and clothing for family and neighbors. Her experience includes machine embroidery, digitizing, quilting, garment design, home decor, and crafts. After working in a variety of corporate and entrepreneurial ventures, she returned to her real passion - sewing. Within a year of purchasing her first embroidery machine, Tamara had invested in a multi- needle machine, digitizing software and launched a successful embroidery and gift business, And Sew On. Back in her home state of Texas, she began working for Designs in Machine Embroidery coordinating the development of new products and educational tools including Magna-Hoop, Quick Snap and the EIY video education series. She then hit the road as a national educator teaching embroidery software and stabilizing techniques, while working behind the scenes on creating new embroidery and quilting projects and writing software manuals. Tamara is very excited to put her enthusiasm, energy and expertise into bringing the best in embroidery and quilting education and technology directly to the sewing public through the DIME Inspiration Dealer network. All supplies will be provided and each student will get to sew on a top of the line Brother XV8500D Dream Machine. Everyone will get their own machine to sew on. This means no more team sewing.
