Piecing/Quilting Techniques Series Class I:Learn to Piece Flying Geese Table Mat

This class features a time-honored quilt block- Flying Geese. But these Flying Geese are not your grandmother's flying geese. Learn a unique no-triangles technique for mastering flying geese with perfection! You'll also learn to cut half-square triangles by layering two over sized squares to render four blocks. Embrilliance Essentials (Software) - Advanced Features

In this class we will focus on using the stitch simulator to edit designs, using the align and distribute function, the group & ungroup feature, and we will create our own custom palette. To attend this class, you must have taken the beginning essentials class or have been working easily with the basic features of Embrilliance Essentials. Bring your laptop to class with the Embrilliance Essentials software loaded, and bring at least 10 spools of thread (or as many as you have up to 10).

In this class we will focus on using the stitch simulator to edit designs, using the align and distribute function, the group & ungroup feature, and we will create our own custom palette. To attend this class, you must have taken the beginning essentials class or have been working easily with the basic features of Embrilliance Essentials. Bring your laptop to class with the Embrilliance Essentials software loaded, and bring at least 10-15 spools of thread (or as many as you have up to 10-15).

In this class you will learn to read a pattern, cut out simple projects, stitch a simple hem, sew on a button, thread your machine & fill a bobbin, as well as straight stitching and zig zag stitching. We will complete several small projects together throughout the week including, but not limited to, a small pillowcase and pin cushion/trash container. Supplies needed: Bring YOUR machine, fabric scissors, tape measure, pins, seam ripper, marking chalk or pen, 2 bobbins, 1 spool white or off white thread.
