We can add an optional speed reducer if you want slow motion, stitch by stitch control, The Techsew 2750 servo motor should give you enough control over start up and slow speed for most applications without installing an additional mechanical speed reducer under Recommended Accessories below* between the motor pulley and the handwheel on the machine. Some leather workers want even more slow stitch-by-stitch speed control for backtacking and turning corners on small items wallets, etc. than can be accomplished with even a servo motor. You can always wait to see if you really need a speed reducer and add it at any time. They are not expensive. Servo motors have already solved over 90% of any start up and speed control problems that were caused by the older style clutch motors.

Comparisons

The Techsew 2750 is a compound walking foot machine so it does have needle feed. You can use the 2750 for leather, vinyl, canvas, denim, rubber etc., anywhere around 1/4" to 3/8" thickness. Thin fabrics/clothing would be too thin for this machine - 1 layer of denim would be the minimum. The presser foot pressure can be adjusted to prevent marking materials, and the presser feet are smooth on the bottom so marking shouldn't be an issue. The 2750 would be the right machine for sewing the items seen in the attached photos. It has large bobbin, compound walking foot with needle feed, SmartServo motor, reverse, stitch length adjustment - extension table is available (same as the one for the model 2700).
